Bandaran used to be one of center spot in Kota Kinabalu City back in the 60's and 70's until Most of the Shops move to the coast side in the 80's what's left now is the building and the unique color of the building itself and Bandaran now are basically left out by the local and on the top floor of the shop immigrant from Indonesia, China and Philippines lives there as a squatters.
